GTE Communications helps Schools, Health Care providers and other Community Based Organizations maximize funding from both State and Federal programs designed to subsidize telecommunications expenses. 

Following are a few of the programs available:

  • E-rate - Federal program providing 20% to 90% discounts on certain telecommunications products and services.  Annual budget in excess of 4 billion dollars.  Provides discounts to Public, Private, Religious and Charter schools (Pre-K thru 12) and some Adult Education programs
  • California Teleconnect Fund (CTF) - California State program that provides 50% discounts on certain telecommunications and internet services.  This program supports state owned Health Care providers, schools and non-profit organizations. 
  • Proposition 63 - Also know as the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) provides funding to counties in California for technology improvements and capital facilities needed to provide mental health services.
  • Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) - Federal program  designed to meet the educational and health care needs of rural America through the use of advanced telecommunications technologies. In this Grant Program, the focus is on funding end-user equipment that operates via telecommunications to connect students and teachers or medical providers and patients in separate rural locations.
  • CalNet II -  provides information technology services to state, county, federal and local government entities throughout the State of California.
